WaterBaby and Terrible Twos

It is a Sunday so I was lounging around and was just being a bum. I was surfing the net and having wheat bread and cheese cubes.








My bum mode was disrupted by
Mateo. He came up to me and said.

"Mommy, swimmin poo'!"

Omg. I remembered that I did promise him last night that we will go swimming today! That means I cannot fool my boy anymore! :)

So off to the swimming pool we go! :)








He is so tall na! It's been almost 18 months since his first swim!









Now he has more hair! :) lol

Having a two year old son is crazy and amazing rolled into one! I am very blessed that he is a happy camper most of the time but when this little guy wants something, he means it! :/

Just the other day I was one guilty mom for scolding him and standing my ground while he cried his eyes out. Bawling little boy having a stare-down with his momma! It was hard.

Everyone who has seen me get mad knows that I can have no mercy when I am ranting an standing my ground but this boy really messes up my angry mojo! Wah.

I am so glad that the stand off lasted just for a few minutes. Whew. Hugs and kisses followed almost immediately.




Ewwww. I know this is not gonna be the last of it's kind.

So moms and dads, how do you deal with your toddlers and their tantrums?

25 months :)

Dearest Mateo,

You are almost 25 months old! You are growing up so fast I am having a hard time catching up! I am savoring these moments when I am still your one and only love :) I know that someday you will find the girl of your dreams but for now you are all mine. :)

I love being the apple of your eyes :) I love it when you wake up and smile at the sight of me and call me mommy. I know there will come a time when you would roll your eyes at me. I shudder just thinking about that. The terrible tween phase. Ewwww. But for now I will not get tired of you waking me up in the middle of the night just to listen to you recite the ABCs :) Yep, you know your ABCs at 2! :)

You love it when I do a silly dance and you imitate my silly moves. I know that someday you might be ashamed of my silly moves but now I am nothing but greatness to you :) soon you will know better :) haha :)

You demand a lot of my attention when I am around and follow me around the house and beg me to draw for you or watch you play. Someday I might be the one demanding for your attention :)

There will be changes my dear son but always remember that our love for you will never change :)

Christmas '10

it's mateos 3rd Christmas :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas :)

We moved to Serendra last May 2008 and i have never put up Christmas decors in our home.

I felt that it's too tiny to clutter with a Christmas tree and decors are all around naman na so what's the point, right?

Well, now that Mateo is 2 years old and seeing his face light up everytime he sees Christmas lights made me want to have a bit of Christmas in our tiny place :)

Panic set in when I couldn't find Christmas decals!

Good thing I found this in S and R :)


Slim enough! :) with built in lights pa! :)

And it even inspired me to accomplish my Christmas gift list :)

Sigh...


I even put up decorative blocks :)

Am apple does not fall from the tree :)

I am addicted to Starbucks. Ever since I was introduced to it. Some people find it to pretentious... too expensive... blended drinks too sweet... Blah blah :)

Whatever :) I love it. I even collect the tumblers. Lol :)

So it was just natural for me to introduce it early to Mateo :)

Here he is. With a venti cup. 10 days old :)


You can see that he loves it already :)

It was not a surprise to me when one of his first words was...
" 'abucks " :)

He even has his own starbucks tumbler :)


So when I found out the the first drive thru Starbucks was just five minutes away... I decided that it was time for a road trip! :)

My 2 dates :)

Working 6 days a week sometimes makes me lazy to do more productive things on my off days. I prefer to just stay in bed and do nothing except to watch TV, surf the net and bug Chris and Mateo :)

After my recent trip to china, I haven't had the chance to bond with my boys...


And last Sunday, I wasn't able to make time for them because ... well ... I went to the St James Bazaar ... Teeheehee :)


I did try to make up for it by baking banana bread muffin... :)



But I know it wasn't enough. So I had a movie date night with chris :) Harry Potter time :)
