Two day weekend

I rarely have 2 days off. Ever since I started working 6 years ago, I have been working 6 days a week! It is always a refreshing change when I do get 2 days off in a week. I get to spend time with Mateo and Boo, spend some me time and refocus.

Although I wasn't able to "refocus" or think about a lot of things, I did manage to have some q-time with my son :)

It was too hot to go outside and he is still recuperating so a swim is out of the question. We spent our days all cooped up in our little home :)

Last Sunday, we couldn't let mothers day pass without leaving the house so we went to healthy options to buy teo juice. :)

The madrigal singers were there to serenade the people in Bonifacio High Street so we decided to stay for a while and listen. Amazing voices!

Teo was a bit sleepy already :)

The next day, May 10, where everyone went out to vote, I stayed at home. I'm not a registered voter. Long story. Wish I was though. I would vote for Gibo and Atty Adel :)

So I just spent time bike racing with Mateo! :) He won! Obviously :)

See ! :)

My 2nd Year

I wanted to have a child for as long as I can remember so having difficulties in getting pregnant really took it's toll on me. I am so blessed that God finally gave Mateo to us.

We are spending Moms day here at home since Mateo still need to recover :) I love spending lazy Sundays with my family :)

Here is Chris, giving Mateo some icecream :)

I am so so grateful.

Being surrounded by wonderful moms is such a great feeling :D

Mama, there are no words that can justify how grateful we are. You have been an uber supportive mom who never asked anything in return :) except for maybe some time with you :)

You are our rockstar !

To achie and che :)

My nieces and nephew are so lucky to have you as their mommas :) You may have different parenting styles but it works!

Thank you for being a mommy to my little Teo as well and for allowing me to be a mommy to your kids when I couldn't have my own :)

and to all my other mom friends :) thank you :) if I missed any, it just means that you I can't find a picture of you in my iPhone :)

Happy moms day!

Bad Mom. Bad Doctor.

Mateo has been having colds and cough for weeks. Last week we gave him Klaz but when he developed fever day 2 of klaz, I brought him to Dr Ching. She thought she heard some rales which might indicate pneumonia and even his tita Sheila suggested that we shift antibiotics to a stronger one.

His fever went down on the same day so I decided not to shift him yet. He was okay for 5 days. Playing, eating and afebrile. :)

This morning he seemed congested again and I thought had allergies.

I went to work and got a call at 6:30 pm. His fever was 39.9! Hay! I rushed home and told Chris and Manang Gilda that we are bringing Mateo to the hospital to have his lab work up. But when I saw Mateo, he looked tired and very sleepy. So not himself. He used to be alert and active even when he was sick. Panic mode!

So I brought him to the ER instead! Good thing SLMC in the fort is not congested ! He was promptly attended to. The chest xray and CBC results showed Pneumonia. :(

I should have shifted antibiotics last week. Bad mom. Bad doctor. :(

We are home now. Hopefully he gets better asap!

He was chanting "cu-cakes" while pointing at the display :)

Hipstamatic

I am march and I am an iPhone App addict. I look at the top 25 app every now and then and even at the staff picked apps. I buy apps even if I don't need it. I get a thrill everytime I push the "install" button.

I have about 8 "different" but oh so the same camera apps. About 25 games. And don't even get me started on my to do or calendar apps :)

I love apps. Sue me :)

I recently, and I mean 4 hours ago bought the highly reviewed "hipstamatic" camera app and the iPhone app critics (haha) were right! I love this app! I'm leaving my quad cam app for now for this.

Sample shots

You can choose the film, lens and flash! :)

Noodle!

Time flies so fast! 18 months ago he was just a helpless infant...

Now he can eat by himself! Messy but I've no complaints! :)

October 10, 2008

One of the best things that I love with my iPhone is that I can take pictures of Mateo's milestones in a flash! :)

Here is my very first mom and picture. It was taken October 11 2008. 1 am. He was about 14 hours old. I went to the nursery to try and feed him :)

I gave birth to Mateo at around 11 am , October 10. I was so scared of pain that the last thing that I remembered was me begging my anesthesiologist to name sure I was not gonna feel anything. Then I woke up a few hours after :)

It was way past midnight but I wanted to see Mateo so badly! I was still hooked up to an IV line and had a catheter on. Epidural pain catheter and the bad catheter :) But I woke Hubby up and asked him to wheel me to the nursery :) He dutifully followed :) thanks Hun!

I cab still vividly remember the feeling when I was being wheeled to the nursery. The corridor of slmc seemed so white! My heart was beating fast. I was praying that I connect with him...

And we did. We did :)

I remember looking at him and feeling so blessed. I kissed his soft cheeks and felt myself choking up, nearly in tears. I was do happy. I felt complete :)

He even gave me a tiny dimpled smile :)

Sigh. Yep. I'm a fan :)
